# Disclosures

> Publish attestations, lifecycle notes, incidents, and policy changes to the public record.

Disclosures keep investors and the public informed about your tokens. Published disclosures appear on the public [Disclosures](https://app.universalmint.io/transparency) page and on your token pages.

## Disclosure types

| Type | Use it for |
| - | - |
| **Attestation** | Confirming the reserve behind a token. |
| **Asset lifecycle** | Events in the life of the asset or the token. |
| **Incident** | An operational problem and how it was handled. |
| **Policy change** | Changes to the policies that govern a token. |

## Publish a disclosure

**1. Start a disclosure**

Open **Disclosures** in your organization workspace and select **New disclosure**. Choose a type.

**2. Write it**

Enter a one-line **Title** and the **Details**, written so a reader far from today can understand it.

**3. Link it to a token (optional)**

Use **Bind to token** to attach it to one token. Left organization-wide, it applies to the organization as a whole.

**4. Add a reference**

Add a link, or the hash of the document it attests, so readers can check it.

**5. Publish**

Review and publish.

> Publishing is permanent. To correct a disclosure, publish a new one that explains the correction.

## Unpublish a disclosure

Select **Unpublish** to take a notice off the public record. The fact that it was published, and when, stays in your organization's history.
