# Team and invitations

> Invite people and organizations to join, and understand member roles.

## Invite a member

**1. Open Members**

Switch to your organization, open **Organization**, and select the **Members** tab.

**2. Choose who to invite**

Select **Invite member**. Choose **Individual** and enter their email, or **Organization** and enter its slug.

**3. Send it**

Send the invitation. You can also copy the accept link and share it directly.

Pending invitations appear under **Pending invitations**. Select **Cancel invitation** to withdraw one; its link stops working.

## Accept an invitation

1. Open the link in your invitation email.
2. Sign in, or create an account if you don't have one. The form opens with your invited email filled in.
3. Select **Accept invitation**.

You can also accept or decline invitations from **Invitations** in your **Profile**.

>
> If you're signed in as a different account when you open the link, the app signs you out so you can answer as the invited email.

## Roles

Joining an organization gives you access to its workspace. Decision rights come from membership in an approval group.

| Role | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Admin** | A member of the organization's governance approval group. |
| **Operator** | A member of another approval group, such as one that approves mints. |
| **Viewer** | Can see the organization's workspace, but doesn't approve anything. |

To give someone decision rights, add them to an approval group. See [Approval groups](/issuers/approval-groups).

## Remove a member

On the **Members** tab, select **Remove member**. They lose access to the workspace and their place in any approval group held through your organization. Depending on your policies, removing a member may need approval.
