You need an account to request or redeem tokens, or to set up an issuer organization. Signing up takes a few minutes.

Before you start

  • A device that supports passkeys: Touch ID or Face ID on a Mac or iPhone, Windows Hello on a PC, or a hardware security key.
  • A safe place to write down a 12 or 24 word recovery phrase.

Sign up

Open the sign-up page

Go to app.universalmint.io/signup. You can also select Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft on the sign-in page to use an existing work account.

Enter your details

Enter Your name, Email, and a Password, then confirm the password and select Create account. Passwords need at least 8 characters, with a number and a special character.

Confirm your email

Enter the 6-character code we sent to your email and select Continue. The code expires in 10 minutes. If it didn’t arrive, select Didn’t get it? Resend code.

Register your passkey

Select Register passkey and approve the prompt on your device. Every account signs in with a passkey; it becomes your second factor on every sign-in.

Save your recovery phrase

Choose 12 words or 24 words and select Generate recovery phrase. Copy or download it, store it safely offline, and select Confirm phrase saved. Then re-enter the three words we ask for and select Confirm and continue.

Accept the platform terms

Read the Platform terms, tick the required clauses, and select Agree and continue. Optional clauses can be left unticked.
Your recovery phrase is the only way back into your account if you lose your passkey. We can’t recover it for you, and Universal Mint staff will never ask for it.

If you were invited to join an organization, open the link in your invitation email. The sign-up form opens with your invited email already filled in. See Team and invitations.
